In 1985 the members of three Bible Societies in Hudsonville Protestant Reformed Church got together and decided to make good, reformed literature available to the Michigan community in which they belonged. They wanted to share the wonderful truths of Scripture. These societies delegated some of their members to form a board that would oversee the start-up and running of a non-profit book store. Today the board guides the managers, continues to oversee the work and finds additional material to carry in the store.
It is our aim that this book store continue to be a witness in the community and provide a place for the printed page to be a useful tool in the spreading of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are still staffed completely by volunteers, some of whom have been with us since the beginning. We are grateful for their service and we hope to always be a vital part of the Hudsonville community. We are hoping that this web site will expand that community to include those interested in the truths of the Scriptures in cyberspace.
All books published by the Reformed Free Publishing Association are sold in our store. We also sell books that come from many other trusted Reformed authors. We have volunteers who proof read many of our books to see if they are reformed in the bulk of their content. It is difficult to find material that is as completely reformed as we would like but we do our best to find what is available.
We recognize that our adult readers are mature Christians who can and should discern the things they read and assess an author's content in the light of God's Word. The Bible calls us to search the scriptures and judge all things in the light of them so we always welcome constructive input from our patrons concerning any book they buy from our store.
Our material already goes into other states as well as other countries. We have supplied church and school libraries. Our selection of King James Version Bibles exceeds most others and our book prices are always 10% off the list price*. We also are able to special order almost anything for our customers even if it is not what we normally carry.
Our hours are: Monday 1 to 5, Tuesday thru Friday 10 to 5, and Saturday 10 to 1.
