Here's what I like about it: This is the "real" KJV text, with Anglicized words and all. If you want a KJV Bible, why not use the real thing? I don't care much for the recent trend of "updating" the KJV text, and then still claiming it to be a KJV Bible. Cambridge has it right on this one. This is a black-letter edition. They used 10-11 point Antique Old Style typeset here, with no words emphasized except the words which were added for clarity by the translators are typeset in italics so that the reader will know which words were not in the Received Text manuscripts. This may not matter to some readers, but it does to me. This edition uses real India Bible paper. It's thin, yet strong, and there is very little bleed-through from the opposite side. Older eyes like mine need all the help they can get :-) There are center-column references, Cambridge says there are 80,000 of them. Good job! Also, there is a 126-page concordance and a 128-page dictionary. Both are surprisingly complete, for such a small number of pages. You'll like them! Here's what I didn't like: The French Morocco leather binding is fairly stiff. For the price I would like it to be more supple. out of print, only one available This classic Cambridge edition of the King James Version is now reissued in a variety of colours and binding materials to satisfy today's continuing demand for high-quality editions of the KJV in an eminently portable format. Cambridge's Pitt Bibles were originally launched in the 1930s, in the wake of the typographic revival which took place in England after the first world war. They were notable for their slimness - achieved by using a variant of the Times New Roman typeface, specially cut by the famous Times typographer Stanley Morison for Cambridge University Press. The result - Times Semi-bold - is the typeface also later used in the acclaimed Concord edition. The Pitt Minion Reference edition was also the first Bible to employ the innovative Cambridge bold-figure cross-reference system (also a feature of the Concord editions). All in all, it is a neat and elegant book, easy to slip into a pocket or purse. It comes in a range of bonded and real leathers and a variety of colours, together with a ribbon marker and presentation page. specifics: Bonded Leather: 990 pages Publisher: Cambridge University Press ISBN-10: 0521007399 ISBN-13: 978-0521007399 Product Dimensions: 7.7 x 5.7 x 1 inches
